Seven Indian institutions have been named to the world-renowned QS Asia University Rankings 2023 list of the Top 100 Institutes in Asia. There are five IITs, IISc Bangalore, and Delhi University among the seven Indian institutions. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay improved its ranking. The IT behemoth, which was ranked 42nd in 2022, has now dropped to 40th place. IIT Bombay ranks first among Indian institutes.
IIT Delhi was ranked 46th out of 760 Asian universities, up from 45th the previous year. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is ranked 52nd this year, up from 56th the previous year. IIT Madras has also risen in the rankings. This time it is ranked 53rd. IIT Kharagpur is ranked 61st, IIT Kanpur is ranked 66th, and Delhi University is ranked 85th.

China’s Peking University is at the top of this list. National University of Singapore came in second, with Tsinghua University of China coming in third.
