On the occasion of Dhirubhai Ambani’s 90th birthday, Reliance Foundation has announced 5000 UG and 100 PG scholarships for 2022-23. Ambani is the founder and chairman of Reliance Industries Limited. Over the next ten years, the Foundation will also award 50,000 scholarships to Indian students pursuing higher education.
According to the Foundation’s press release, for the academic year 2022-23, the Foundation will award up to 5,000 merit-based undergraduate scholarships of up to Rs. 2 lakh and up to 100 merit-based postgraduate scholarships of up to Rs. The application deadline for the scholarships is February 14, 2023.
In addition to the scholarship, the Foundation will provide scholars with access to an alumni network and a facilitating support system.
Students in their first year of an undergraduate or graduate programme whose household income is less than 15 lakh are eligible to apply. The programme will also seek to encourage applications from women and students with special needs.
According to the press release, students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable & New Energy, Material Science & Engineering, and Life Sciences will be selected based on merit.
