For this, the Directorate of Primary Education had sought information from the District Education Officer of all the districts about the vacant posts in their district till March 31, 2022. At the same time, the list of vacant posts in all the districts has also been sought from the Directorate of Secondary Education.

The Education Department has estimated that 1,25,000 posts are vacant in 72,000 primary schools, while 40,000 posts are vacant in 9360 secondary and higher secondary schools.

Also, the department has decided that a merit list of teachers will also be prepared through the portal and the list will be shared with the planning unit.
Candidates who had qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the sixth recruitment stage but were not hired will also be eligible in the seventh recruitment stage.
There was a protest regarding teacher recruitment
For the teacher reinstatement of the seventh phase, the candidates had campaigned on social media expressing their protest.
