UG, PG programs in Cyber Security and Data Protection: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has started a new program in Cyber Security and Data Protection. The UG, PG program was launched by UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar on Thursday, October 6, 2022, on the occasion of Cyber Awareness Day 2022.
Programs on Cyber Security and Data Protection have been started at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Speaking at the launch, the UGC Chairman said that the program’s courses are aimed at creating greater awareness and a sense of responsibility for digital citizens.

Module 1: Introduction to Cyber Security
Module 2: Cyber Crime and Cyber Law
Module 3: Social Media Overview and Security
Module 4: E-commerce and Digital Payments

Module 1: Overview of Cyber Security
Module 2: Cyber Crime
Module 3: Cyber Law
Module 4: Data Privacy and Data Security
Module 5: Cyber Security Management, Compliance and Governance
The modules and topics in the program will work towards increasing the level of awareness about cyber security and data security matters. Topics like Data Protection Bill 2019 will also be explained to the students.
The Chairman further asked the Higher Education Institutions, HEIs to invite experts in Cyber Security, IT, Data Protection, etc. to take lectures, practical classes, or special tutorial classes.
