UP NMMS scholarship 2023: Tomorrow, August 23, 2023, the registration period for the Uttar Pradesh National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination (UP NMMS) will commence. Tomorrow, interested applicants can visit the official website at entdata.co.in to submit their applications.

The registration deadline is September 18, 2023. Only online submissions will be accepted; postal mail and other submission methods will not be considered.

How can I apply for the UP NMMS scholarship in 2023?

  • Candidates must consult the official website to apply.
  • Click on the Apply button on the homepage.
  • In a new window, enter your login credentials and click submit.
  • Continue completing out the online application form and uploading the necessary documents.
  • Download the confirmation page and print it out for your records.

Eligibility Standards

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for the National Income and Merit Based Scholarship Scheme Examination 2024-25:

  • Academic Performance: Students must have earned a minimum of 55% (with a 5% reduction for Scheduled Tribes) during the current academic year.
  • Eligible students must be enrolled in class 8 in government, non-government aided, or local body (council) institutions during the 2023-24 academic session.
  • Not eligible are pupils from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, Government Residential, and Private Schools.
  • The total combined income of the candidate’s parents from all sources must not exceed Rs. 350,000.00 (only Rs.

Requirements for Documents

Candidates must submit the income certificates issued by the Tehsildar or other authorised officer.
In addition, candidates are required to submit the following documents:

  • Certificate of caste issued by the competent authority
  • Disability status document
  • A copy of the 7th grade report card

If the reservation certificate is not uploaded, the candidate will be considered for the general category.

Regarding UP NMMS Exam

UP NMMS is an annual exam administered to class 8 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to determine their eligibility. The objective is to provide these students with scholarships to encourage them to pursue higher education.
