UPSC CSE 2023: A notification for UPSC CSE 2023 has been issued. It is a source of relief for civil service candidates that a large number of vacancies have been announced this time. This time, 1105 positions have been advertised, the most in the last seven years. There were 1101 posts last year. In 2021, 712 positions were available, 796 in 2020, 896 in 2019, 782 in 2018, 980 in 2017, 1079 in 2016, 1164 in 2015, and 1364 in 2014. Every year, approximately 8 to 9 lakh young people take this recruitment exam. Officers will be selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other All India Services, including the Indian Police Service, through this examination (IPS). The UPSC Civil Services selection process consists of three stages: prelims, mains, and interviews.
Exam centres will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to the commission, the number of candidates in each examination centre is limited (except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur). To appear in the main Forest Services examination, one must first pass the UPSC Civil Services Prelims. That is, the preliminary exams for both competitive exams will be the same. Eligibility for the Civil Services Exam
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university/institute in any discipline.
Age Limit
– The minimum age is 21 years old. The maximum age should be under 32 years. Age will be calculated beginning on August 1, 2023. That is, the candidate must have been born between August 2, 1991, and August 1, 2002.
Candidates in the general category are limited to six attempts and must be at least 32 years old. OBC candidates have nine attempts until the age of 35. SC/ST candidates have an unlimited number of attempts until the age of 37.
