The 11th of March is National Proposal Day, so get your hot glue gun ready! The promposal, the act of asking your date to prom in an extremely ostentatious manner, was reportedly invented in 2001. The proposal history can become somewhat hazy. And while promposals have existed for centuries, Men’s Wearhouse instituted National Promposal Day in 2016. As Certified Proposal EnthusiastsTM, we are delighted to have a day dedicated to celebrating the world’s tiniest romantics! High school students, carry on!

Proposals are the Love Actually of the actual world. Regardless of how disillusioned you are with the state of modern romance, promposals are evidence that there are high students who are not afraid to express their love (and to embarrass themselves while doing so). Could it be more adorable? This is a rhetorical inquiry. Promposals can get extremely elaborate. There are numerous illuminated signs, flash routines, and glitter. Ah, the sparkle! Proposals allow high school students to express their creativity and have joy. In a world filled with endless assignments, the opportunity to create traditional arts and crafts is priceless. In addition, how often do you get to use a hot adhesive gun? So you are aimlessly scrolling through Facebook. The posts of your acquaintances do not amuse you. What will interrupt the monotony? A viral promposal video, evidently! These public declarations of affection in our newsfeed bring us so much joy. You are the one weeping, not us.

Locate your old prom gown and tuxedo.

We are aware that you have an old prom gown or tuxedo in the back of your wardrobe. You should carry it out into the sunlight! If the prom attire still suits, why not throw a party? You and your companions can breathe new life into your prom attire. It is a wonderful excuse to dress up and prepare delicious food.

Develop a distinct elaborate proposal

If you have not yet attended prom, you should plan your own promposal. However, if you’re older than prom age, propose something else! Even on a modest occasion, it’s enjoyable to go all out.
