After three years of exercise on 32714 vacant posts in 9360 secondary and higher secondary schools of Bihar, the results of the appointment have come disappointing. On the one hand, the candidates are agitating to start the 7th phase of employment soon, on the other hand, under the recruitment process of the Education Department, the eligible candidates are not found. The details of the appointment letters distributed in two phases on 30 July and 26 August have been received by the government from the districts. According to the final report of the sixth phase of recruitment prepared by the Education Department, only 2716 teachers have been appointed across the state. Of these, 2048 teachers have been given to high schools while Plus2 has got only 668 teachers. 29998 posts i.e. 91.6 remained vacant. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Singh gave this information. He told that now we will start the seventh phase soon.
One thing is clear from this position of appointment that about 37 lakh students enrolled in government schools from class 9th to 12th will have to study without a teacher in the current academic session as well. This report of appointment is also a blow to the government’s resolve to operate one plus two in every panchayat. Against 13325 high school teacher posts, only 2048 (15.36) teachers have been found, while against 19389 posts in Plus Two, only 668 (3.44) teachers have been found. There was maximum crowd in social science subject. Most of the posts are left vacant in all the remaining subjects.
Teachers not found even in Patna, a total of 2058 posts were to be appointed in Patna district. There were 1071 posts of secondary while 987 of higher secondary. A total of 219 teachers were appointed in both the categories. 137 new teachers have come in high schools while 82 new teachers have come in plus two. Restoration in 705 posts in Zilla Parishad is zero. At the same time, in Municipal Corporation, 27 out of Hindi, 11 out of 37 in English, 2 out of 29 in Sanskrit, 3 out of 19 in Urdu, 11 out of 20 in Science, 13 out of 28 in Mathematics, 18 out of 23 in Social Science were found. Huh. Talking about other districts, only 3 teachers have been restored in Sheikhpura, 15 in Arwal, 6 in Sheohar.
Counting districts put hundreds in restoration
Although the number of such districts is very high, where 500 to 1500 vacancies were being filled, but including high school, plus two, the number of districts who have recruited more than 100 teachers is worth counting on the finger. Maximum 177 teachers have been appointed in high school in Samastipur and maximum number of 82 in PlusTu are in Patna. More than 100 high school teachers have been appointed in just five districts including Samastipur, Bhojpur, Patna, East Champaran and Darbhanga. At the same time, more than 50 plus two teachers have been found in only four districts, 82 in Patna, 60 in Gaya, 57 in Sitamarhi and 50 in Bhojpur.

Even if there were competent applicants, less were involved in the counseling and other selection process. There were 2011 STET passed applicants. If the appointment is being completed in 2022, then most of them would have been working elsewhere. This problem will not arise in the seventh step. Because 80 thousand have passed in 2019 STET itself.
