
The deadline for applying for CRPF Head Constable and ASI recruitment is today, January 31, 2023. Following a court order, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) extended the deadline for applications from January 25 to January 31, increasing the maximum age limit by three years. There are 1458 Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno) and Head Constable positions available (Ministerial). Candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online at crpf.gov.in. There are 143 Assistant Sub Inspector positions available, as well as 1315 Head Constable positions. The admit cards for this recruitment will be distributed on February 15, 2023. The computer-based exam will be held from February 22 to February 28, 2023. The date of age and educational qualification calculation is January 31, 2023.
Reservation in posts
58 posts of ASI are unreserved while 14 are reserved for EWS, 39 OBC, 21 SC and 11 ST. 523 posts of head constable are unreserved. 132 posts are reserved for EWS, 355 OBC, 197 SC and 99 ST.
Educational Qualifications
Candidate must have passed class 12th from recognized institute.
Age Limit – 18 to 28 Years. The maximum age limit for SC and ST category will be five years and OBC will get three years relaxation. Age will be counted from 31 January 2023. That is, the candidate must have been born not earlier than 01 February 1995 and not later than 31 January 2005.

Assistant Sub Inspector – Pay Level ₹ 29,200 – 92300
Head Constable – Pay Level 4 ₹ 25,500- 81100
Application fee
Candidates of General Category, OBC Category and EWS Category applying will have to pay Rs 100. At the same time, SC, ST and women category candidates will not have to pay any fee.
Selection Process:
Computer Based Written Examination, Skill Test, Physical Test, Medical Test, Document Verification. The skill test will be in both Hindi and English. Merit will be made on the basis of marks in written test. Only qualifying in Skill Test, Physical Test is necessary.
There will be 100 objective type questions in the written test in 90 minutes. Hindi Language or English Language (Optional), General Aptitude, General Intelligence and Quantitative Aptitude 25-25 questions will be asked from all the four sections. All sections will be of 25-25 marks. One-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. CBT will be of 12th level. The exam can be held from 22 February to 28 February 2023.
Successful candidates in CBT will be called for skill test. Head Constable candidates will be called for typing test and ASI candidates will be called for shorthand test.
Speed of 35 words per minute in English typing or 30 words per minute in Hindi typing. Shorthand Skill Test will require 80 words per 10 minutes.
Transcription Time – 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi.
