On a rural road outside Markham, a 1998 Dodge Viper travelling at 170 mph lost control on the final stretch and flipped multiple times. The car eventually collided with a lamppost, resulting in fatal injuries. As a result of the driver’s speed, this collision is still remembered by witnesses as one of the worst auto accidents ever.
2. In May 2010 The Unsafe Toyota Crown
In May 2010, nine individuals perished in a tragic car accident involving a Toyota Crown. The driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed and collided with oncoming traffic. This caused a collision between the Crown and six other vehicles. In total, nine people were killed and five others were injured in this tragic incident.
3. The Crash on Interstate 75 in January 2009
In one of the worst weather-related collisions in recorded history, over 100 vehicles collided on I-75 near Gainesville, Florida. 4. The June 2008 head-on collision in New Hampshire
In one of the deadliest and worst automobile accidents in the history of New Hampshire, seven people were killed when a Jeep crossed the centre line and collided with an SUV head-on. Due to the severity of the collision, both vehicles were engulfed in flames. Seven occupants of the SUV were slain, while three occupants of the Jeep were injured.
5. The May 2006 Wrong-Way Crash
In May 2006, eight individuals were killed in a horrific collision on I-95 in Connecticut that occurred in the wrong direction. A driver travelling in the incorrect direction collided head-on with a minivan carrying seven people, causing the accident. The accident claimed the lives of all eight participants, including five minors.

In one of the deadliest school bus accidents in history, 28 children and three adults were murdered when a drunk driver driving the wrong way on I-71 in Kentucky struck their school bus. The collision resulted in the bus catching fire, culminating in the deaths of all 31 passengers. This is also one of the worst automobile accidents in Kentucky’s history.
7. The March 2017 head-on collision in California
In California in March of 2017, thirteen individuals were killed in a head-on collision. A pickup truck carrying a family of six crossed the centre line and collided with an SUV carrying seven passengers. The accident claimed the lives of all thirteen participants, including five minors.
8. The February 2012 collision involving a flatbed truck
Near Hampstead, Ontario, a van transporting 13 migrant workers collided with a flatbed truck, resulting in 11 fatalities and 3 injuries. The ten victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver and two other occupants were transported to Stratford General Hospital for treatment. While the van was demolished, the truck was reduced to fragments.

In April 2014, 10 persons were killed when a large truck collided with a passenger van on California’s Interstate 5.
