If you’re like most people, you probably check the weather before you leave for work and again when you get home. But if you live in a place that gets a lot of precipitation, checking the weather on your phone can be difficult. Wouldn’t it be great if the weather was right there on your home screen, so you could see what the forecast is for the day without having to open a separate app?
In this article, we’ll show you how to get weather on your Android home screen using an easy trick.
Enable Weather on Home Screen
Android users can get weather information on their home screens by following these steps:
1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
2. Scroll down to the ‘Display’ section.
3. Tap on the ‘Home screen’ option.
4. Select the desired wallpaper and tap on ‘Set home screen’.
5. Scroll down to find the ‘Weather’ option and tap on it.
6. Select the desired weather provider and select the required city.
7. Tap on the ‘Update’ button to refresh your weather information.
Add Locations to Your Weather
Android devices often have limited storage, so it’s important to use the space wisely. Weather can easily be stored on the home screen and accessible with a quick tap.
To add a location to your weather, open the Settings app and select “Weather.” From here, tap the “Add Location” button. Enter the address of the location you want to track weather for and hit the “Add” button. The location will now appear in the list of available locations on your Android device.
Change Weather Icon
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get the weather on your Android home screen, there’s an easy way to do it. All you need is a weather app and the ability to add icons.
The first step is finding a good weather app. There are many available, but we’ve found Forecast.io to be the best option for most people. Once you have the app installed, open it and click on the “Icons” tab. You’ll see a list of all the icons on your device. Click on the “Weather Icons” icon and then select “Add.”
Once you’ve added the weather icon, open the home screen of your device and tap on it. You’ll now see the weather widget installed on your home screen. You can change the location of the widget by dragging it to another part of your home screen or by using the “Move” button in the widget’s menu.
Remove Location from Weather
If you want to see the weather on your Android home screen, but don’t want the location information included, there is a way to remove it. Go to the Settings app and select the “Display” tab. Under “Screen Timeout,” select “Location.” Now set the timeout to 30 minutes and hit OK. The location information will no longer be included in the weather updates.
Enable Dark Mode for Weather
Android users can now enjoy a dark mode for their weather app. This new feature was added as part of the latest update to the Google weather app. The dark mode makes the app more comfortable to use at night or in low-light environments. The change is available on both the Android and iOS versions of the Google weather app. To activate dark mode, open the app and select the Settings gear icon (three lines in a row on the top right corner). On the settings page, under “Appearance,” select “Dark Mode.” You can also enable dark mode manually by going to your home screen and selecting “Google Weather” from your apps drawer. Once you’ve enabled dark mode, you can toggle it on and off using the gear icon on the main screen of the app.
