National Wreaths Across America Day has a simple mission: “Remember fallen U.S. veterans; honor those who serve; and teach your children the value of freedom.” It is an annual event held each third Saturday of December at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as other cemeteries in the United States, at sea, and abroad. Wreaths placed by friends and family honor both those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and those who are currently serving in the military.
