Sankashti Chaturthi 2022: Regarded as the most auspicious day and devoted to worship Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is also known as Mangal Murti and Vighna Harta and this Sankashti Chaturthi is known as Vighnaraja Sankashti Chaturthi is regarded as Vighnaraja Sankashti Chaturthi.
As per panchang, this day is observed each and every month on the fourth day (Chaturthi Tithi) of Krishna Paksha. This month, Vighnaraja Sankashti Chaturthi will be celebrated on Tuesday, 13th September 2022 in the month of Ashwina.
Sankashti Chaturthi 2022: Significance
Sankashti Chaturthi which falls on Tuesday is called as Angaraki Chaturthi. Lord Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and known as Pratham Pujya among other deities.
The Lord Ganesha is also regarded to be the remover of all obstacles from the life of devotees. Lord Ganesha is also regarded to be the remover of all barriers from the life of devotees. Lord Ganesha is one of the most loving God among all. For any rituals like pooja, Yajna, Hawan or any other religious ceremony, Lord Ganesha is usually worshipped first with Goddess Laxmi and then the rest of the pooja ritual is performed.
It is believed that people, who observe fast each and every month on the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, are blessed with auspiciousness, happiness, prosperity and Lord Ganesha also protects them from all hurdles. - The devotees wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes.
- Place an idol of Lord Ganesha and sprinkle some Gangajal.
- Light a Diya, put tilak of Kumkum and Haldi, offer yellow vermillion or flowers and Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweets (Laddo and Modak).
- The devotees do not forget to offer Durva Grass (Green Grass) as this is Lord Ganesha’s favorite herb.
- Recite the Binayak katha (Lord Ganesh Katha) and Aarti to Lord Ganesha (Jai Ganesh Deva).
- People who cannot observe fast, can visit the temple and offer Laddo and Modak to Lord Ganesha.
