The Kerala Story OTT Release Date: The Kerala Story is a recently released documentary that explores the distinctive social and political landscape of the Indian state of Kerala. Sudipto Sen’s film examines the numerous factors that have contributed to the state’s success in areas such as healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment.

Kerala is frequently called the “model state” of India, and with good reason. Kerala, despite being one of the smallest states in India, has some of the highest human development indicators, including the highest life expectancy and literacy rate. Additionally, the state has been successful in reducing poverty and enhancing access to healthcare, education, and other fundamental services.

Sudipto Sen’s film chronicles the voyage of four female college students from Kerala who join the Islamic State.

The Kerala Narrative: Plot

Several controversies began in Kerala when opposition leader V.D. Satheesan declared that the film should not be permitted to be released.

The film examines how ISIS used ‘love jihad’ to recruit 32,000 women to Syria. The trailer reveals how men were brainwashed into Hindu and Christian women of Kerala under the guise of love, forcing them to convert to Islam and join ISIS and other Islamic conflict zones. Extremely shocking incidents occurred between 2018 and 2019, while an increasing number of Keralan adolescents began working for ISIS.

The new description reveals that the film is based on the true tales of three young women from various regions of the state. The makers of the upcoming Hindi film ‘The Kerala Story’ have discreetly changed their claim that 32,000 women from Kerala have joined the Islamic State (IS) in response to severe backlash from all quarters. The adjustments were made to the trailer’s YouTube description.

According to the film’s initial synopsis, it depicts the “heartbreaking and gut-wrenching stories of 32,000 females in Kerala.” According to the new synopsis, the film is based on the true stories of three young women from diverse parts of the state.

Numerous Internet users took to social media to discuss the recent update. “The tale of Kerala evolves. Originally, it was 320000 females, but now it’s only 3!! “Denigration of Kerala,” a user wrote. “The attempt to polarise Kerala along religious lines through a film that has retracted its original claim of 32,000 “missing” women in favour of three women.” Who will be held responsible for the deliberate misinformation that has been disseminated thus far? asked another.

The Story of Kerala: Cast

The main role in The Kerala Story is played by Adah Sharma, who appears to be the converted Muslim woman Fathima Ba, based on a Hindu nurse who endured a similar fate. Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani will also feature in this film as the three other women alongside Fathima.

Sudipto Sen directs The Kerala Story, which is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah for Sunshine Pictures Private Limited.
