Jyeshtha Purnima is an important Hindu holiday. As it occurs during Jyeshtha Month, this is one of the most auspicious Purnima Tithis. Jyeshtha, who is considered to be Lord Vishnu, is an elder. Jyeshtha Shreshtha Prajapati is his name. In the form of Trivikrama, the one who has conquered all three realms, he is the paramount Lord of this month. This is the sacrosanct month in which the goddess Ganga descended to earth after performing rigorous penance.
Married women also observe Vat Purnima Vrat on this auspicious day of Jyeshtha Purnima Tithi. On the day of Jyeshtha Purnima, people engage in various religious activities. They tour sacred sites in order to bathe in the Ganga river. Pray to Lord Vishnu and tour temples dedicated to Laxmi Narayan. On this day, Moon is worshipped by offering Arghya to the deity. Rituals
- Early in the morning, get up and take a bath in the Ganga river.
