Labh Panchami’s Significance
Labh Panchami is a holiday that is connected to Diwali, the well-known Hindu holiday of Lights. The words “Labh” and “Saubhagya” mean, respectively, “benefit” and “good luck.” Therefore, it is believed that having this day in one’s life will be fortunate and advantageous.
Hindu believers, particularly in Gujarat, have the belief that performing puja on this day will bring them prosperity, success, and good fortune in both their personal and professional lives. Businessmen in Gujarat establish fresh account ledgers, or “Khatu,” on Labh Panchami because it is also the first working day of the fresh Year. ‘Shubh’ and ‘Labh’ are written on the left and right sides, respectively, and a ‘Sathiya’ is also drawn in the centre of the page to accomplish this. On this day, new businesses are said to experience great rewards.
On the day of Labh Panchami, it is lucky to start a new business. Gujarat accords this holiday a lot of importance and celebrates it grandly.
