SSDI Payment August: Who is getting paid on Wednesday?

Those born between the first and the tenth of the month will have their SSDI benefits deposited on Wednesday, August 14, under the SSA’s payment schedule. Keep an eye out for that much-needed deposit in your bank account if your birthday falls within these days.

Some things are different, though. Whether you started getting SSDI before May 1997 or get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) along with SSDI, your payouts are made at a different time each month. In this case, the SSI deposit comes on the first of the month, and the SSDI deposit comes on the third.

The Social Security Administration suggests delaying taking action for three business days if your payment isn’t received on the scheduled date. Check with your bank to make sure there isn’t a problem on their end after that. If the bank verifies that everything is in order, get help from the SSA by contacting them via their contact information or by going to the SSA office that is closest to you.

The next SSDI deposits are set for August 21 or August 28, depending on your birthdate, for individuals whose payment isn’t due this week.
