Depending on the recipient’s birthdate, Social Security benefits are sent by the SSA on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month.

SSDI payment dates for next month are as follows:
- August 14: If your birth date is between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- August 21: If your birth date is between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- August 28: If your birth date is between the 21st and 31st of the month.

The third of every month is when your payment is sent if you started receiving SSDI before May 1997. Regardless of your birthdate, if you are also receiving SSI, this payment will arrive on August 1 and your SSDI deposit will be received on August 3.
If your payment from either program doesn’t show up on the due date, the Social Security Administration says to wait three business days before calling your bank to see if there is a problem on their end. If everything is fine with your bank, go to the closest Social Security office or use one of the SSA’s ways to contact them.
