Texas SNAP Payment Schedule: Who Gets Benefits Between June 15 and 21?

Texas SNAP recipients may receive June 2026 benefits between June 15 and 21, depending on their EDG number and when their household was certified.

Texas SNAP Payment Schedule June: Texas SNAP households may see their June 2026 food benefits land between June 15 and June 21, but the exact day depends on the household’s Eligibility Determination Group, or EDG, number. Texas does not pay everyone on one day. The state uses a staggered schedule, so two families can be in the same SNAP program and still get money on different dates. The schedule for Texas is based on the EDG number and on whether the household was certified before or after June 1, 2020.

How the EDG number works?

For households certified before June 1, 2020, benefits are spread over the first part of the month. In that older schedule, an EDG number ending in 9 gets benefits on the 15th. That is why June 15 sits at the edge of the older system. For households certified after June 1, 2020, the payments begin on the 16th and run through the 28th.

These are the Texas SNAP payment dates between June 16 and June 21 for that group:

  • June 16: EDG numbers ending in 00-03 or 54-57
  • June 17: EDG numbers ending in 04-06 or 58-60
  • June 18: EDG numbers ending in 07-10 or 61-64
  • June 19: EDG numbers ending in 11-13 or 65-67
  • June 20: EDG numbers ending in 14-17 or 68-71
  • June 21: EDG numbers ending in 18-20 or 72-74
Household Size Maximum SNAP Benefit Amount (Per Month)
1 person $298
2 people $546
3 people $785
4 people $994
5 people $1,183
6 people $1,421
7 people $1,571
Each additional person +$218

What Families should check

The easiest way to know the right day is to look at the EDG number on the Texas SNAP case. Households certified before June 1, 2020 should check the last digit. Households certified after that date should check the last two digits. The benefit amount is not the same for every home either. It changes based on income, expenses, and household size. SNAP payments are loaded onto an EBT card, not sent as a paper check.

What if the Date or Amount is Unclear

Anyone who is not sure about the EDG number, the certification date, or the benefit amount should check their official Texas benefits account or contact the state agency handling the case. Texas HHSC also says people can call 2-1-1 or 877-541-7905 for SNAP help.
