73rd 2024 NBA All-Star: The main event on Sunday, February 18, in Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be the 73rd NBA All-Star game in 2024 between the dominant teams in the West and East.
With an emphasis on the West, the roster includes some well-known players along with other well-earned names that are cutting reserves. Voting was conducted by fans for the All-Stars, the existing roster, and a chosen panel of journalists.
Half of the starting lineup is decided by fan voting, with the remaining players and media choosing the other players. LeBron James, who is earning his 20th All-Star selection, will head the West, while Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks will lead the East.
The NBA All-Star games will once again take place in an East-West format, pitting the best of each conference against one another.
This season, there will be no All-Star draft for the tournament; instead, the captain of each squad will be the top vote-getter on the team. On TNT, the game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
Take a look at the extensive list of NBA stars representing the West before the big match that features some of the greatest players in the world competing against one another.

73rd 2024 NBA All-Star: List of Players
On the West All-Star roster, LeBron James was chosen to serve as the team captain.
In his 21st season in the league, he will create history when he enters the court in Indianapolis as an All-Star. With the LA Lakers, the 39-year-old has been playing at an elite level and has established himself as a starter this year. With a 30-26 record, the Lakers are eighth in the West, and James has participated in 49 games this season.
Kevin Durant, who is participating in his 14th All-Star game, will be joining him. Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder will play point guard and shooting guard, respectively.
The starting lineup for the reserves included Steph Curry and Devin Booker, with Anthony Davis—a DPOY contender after a fantastic run for Los Angeles—cutting as well.
Star players Kawhi Leonard and Paul George of the LA Clippers, along with Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, were released.
The NBA All-Star team representing the Western Conference will be captained by Timberwolves coach Chris Finch, while Doc Rivers of the Bucks will represent the East.
Ideally, the positions of both coaches would be decided by the teams after their games on Sunday, February 4.
