Nintendo Switch: The first Xbox games that would be available on other systems were unveiled during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The two titles that matched the description Phil Spencer provided last week were the great surprise, not the much-rumored Hi-Fi Rush.
Soon to arrive on the Nintendo Switch is Grounded and Pentiment
The two other Obsidian Entertainment games were, against all chances, picked to be included in the first four games that Xbox will release on other platforms. Grounded, a survivor game inspired by Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, opened the presentation. It will launch in early access in July 2020 and release its final edition on September 27, 2022. On April 16, 2024, Grounded will be available on the Nintendo Switch.
Conversely, Pentiment, a detective game with that style of art and a setting in the late Middle Ages, was announced. It is scheduled for release on November 15, 2022. Despite being included in the Nintendo Direct’s Classic Sizzle Reel, this game holds the unique distinction of being the first to launch in an ecosystem other than Xbox; it will be available for the Nintendo Switch starting tomorrow, February 22, 2024.

It is currently unknown if these games will release on the PlayStation 5 on the same dates. What will happen with other speculated games that are also expected to release on other systems, such as Rare’s Sea of Thieves and Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush, is still to be seen.
On Xbox
Just last week, Xbox executives discussed the much-rumored shift in the company’s economic model on the Xbox Official Podcast. All of the speculation about a brand change, a break from system manufacturing, or a withdrawal from the console battles proved to be untrue—this year will see the launch of Xbox games on other platforms.
