Anna University Admission 2022: 18 August 2022 is the last date to apply for Anna University Admission 2022-23. The university has released a tentative datasheet for the admission 2022 session. It provides UG, PG, and PhD programs. The B.Tech/BE and B.Arch programs are common. Entrance tests for Anna University include TANCET, TNEA, and NATA. Candidates can fill out applications for Anna University at the university’s website @annauniv.edu. However, for MCA, MBA, Research, and PhD courses, the registration forms need to be sent to the college, and they need to be filled out and signed.

The candidates for the B.Arch or BE/B.Tech courses at Anna University must have at least an intermediate-level degree. They must also have at least 50% in PCM. Students Need to pass the TNEA entrance test to be admitted to B.Tech/B.E. Admission for bachelor in architecture programs is determined by NATA exam results.

  • Registration Fees- Students for the UG program in the general category need to pay INR 500/-, and the reserved category pays INR 250/-.
  • For the PG programs, students of the general category are required to pay INR 600/- and reserved category students need to pay INR 300/- for the admissions; the M.Sc and M.phil application fees for the general are INR 700/- whereas for the reserved category is INR 350/-.

Anna University Admission 2022

Candidates for admission to Anna University’s BE/ B.Tech. or B.Arch programs must be intermediate graduates with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates must pass the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) entrance test to get admitted to B.Tech/B.E. Valid NATA entrance exam scores are required for admission to B.Arch. programs.

At the postgraduate level, Anna University Admission 2022 offers ME and M.Tech programs in a variety of fields. The minimal requirement for admission is a BE/ B.Tech degree in the appropriate discipline. Diploma holders, as well as AMIE holders, are eligible to apply. TANCET scores are used to determine admission, which is followed by university-based counselling (TANCA).

Anna University UG Admission

There are many undergraduate courses offered by Anna University. It offers four years of Bachelor of Technical/ Bachelor of Engineering programmes. For these, students need to have completed 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Furthermore, it provides a number of integrated programmes that take a minimum of 5 years to complete. Students can enroll in these programs after they have passed their 12th grade.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours)

  • Eligibility: BA is an undergraduate programme that takes 3 years to complete. Students with 10+2 Pass or Equivalent in any stream from any well-recognised board of education in India.

Bachelor of Commerce

  • Eligibility: Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent with commerce as a core subject can apply for admission to this programme.
  • Duration: B.Com degree can be completed in 3 years.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)  

  • Eligibility: BBA is a UG level degree programme. Students with 10+2 or Equivalent in relevant subjects can apply for this course.
  • Duration: BBA can be completed in a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years.

Anna University B.Tech Admission

The university offers engineering courses through its many departments. Bachelor of Technology is a 4 years long duration programme. The students who have completed their 12th board exam in the science stream can apply for admission at Anna University. Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology as a core subject in previous education. The admission will be based on merit scored by the student in the last qualifying examination.

Master of Arts (MA)

  • Eligibility: Master of Arts is one of the most popular programmes that can be completed in 2 years. Students must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream to be eligible for admission to this course. The degree must be obtained from any UGC recognised university.
  • Duration: Minimum 2 Years and maximum 4 Years.

Master of Tech (MTech)

  • Eligibility: Master of Technology is a 2 years long duration engineering programme.  MTech is a PG level programme and students who have completed their bachelor’s degree in relevant streams can apply for admission. 
  • Duration: The course can be completed in a minimum of 2 Years or a maximum of 4 Years.

Anna University PhD Admission

The university offers doctorate-level courses in numerous disciplines. The students who want to take admission to the PhD programme at Anna University must have completed their master’s degree or equivalent from any UGC-recognized university. Through its Centre for Research, the university provides applications twice a year. Students are required to sit in the entrance exam accepted by the university, and it is also mandatory to score good marks to be eligible for admission.

It offers Ph.D. in Management, architecture & Planning, Computer science, and many more. The admission will be based on merit scored by the students in the entrance test, which is followed by personal interviews. Only candidates with the best performance will get the seat.

How To Apply For Anna University Admission?

Anna University Entrance Exam 2022

Anna University provides entries for its different degree programs based on entrance exam selection criteria. The TANCET is conducted by Anna University for the purpose of checking the eligibility of candidates. TANCET is conducted once a year by Anna University and is a state-level entry exam. Mainly this test is for postgraduate courses that are M.Plan, M.Arch, M-Tech, MCA, MBA, and ME. The pattern of the TANCET exam has never been changed and it always has a total of 100 questions. Also, the time duration of the exam remains unchanged having 2 hours. Its syllabus will be varying depending on the student’s course choice. In the case of MBA and MCA courses, the test paper has only one section but in the case of other courses, it has three parts, where 20 questions are in Part-I, 35 in part-II, and 60 in part-III, thus having a total of 105 questions.

Anna University Distance Education 

Anna University Distance Education Programmes: The need to start Post Graduate Programmes like MBA, MCA and M.Sc (in Computer Science and IT related areas) with emphasis on professional subjects and Projects has been a long felt necessity.
