BHU UG admission 2022 information bulletin released, admission through CUET

BHU UG admissions will be now through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), a mandatory exam for students seeking entry to UG courses at all central universities across the country.

BHU UG Admission 2022: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the information bulletin for undergraduate admissions for the 2022-23 academic year.

BHU UG admissions will be now through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), a mandatory exam for students seeking entry to UG courses at all central universities across the country.

Earlier, BHU UG admission was based on the Undergraduate admission Test (BHU UET) 2022.

To register for CUET 2022, candidates can visit cuet.samarth.ac.in. In addition to qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates must fulfil other eligibility conditions to get admission to the university.

“The BHU-UET 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website Admission will be based on the merit in the BHU-UET 2022 subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements of the Course for which the candidate has applied,” according to BHU.

The last date to apply for CUET 2022 is April 6. The test is scheduled for the first or second week of July, 2022.

BHU 2022 Application From fee can be submitted through both online as well as offline mode. Candidates can use Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and Bank Challan of HDFC Payment gateways for transaction of application fee.

CUET 2022 application fee can be paid only through online mode. Mode of payment includes credit card, debit card or net banking. The application fee is as follows:

BHU 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Following are the complete eligibility norms for the BHU 2022 Examination:

For B.Com (Hons):

  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
  • Subjects: Candidates must have either of Economics/ Commerce/ Computer Science/ Maths/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management subjects.
  • Marks: Applying candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
  • Age Limit: Applying candidate must not be more than 22 years of age, as on 1st July 2022.

For B.A (Hons) Arts:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have qualified or appearing in the 12th or its equivalent exam from the recognized board.
  • Marks: Candidates will require at least aggregate of 50% marks in 12th level.
  • Age Limit: Applying candidate must not be more than 22 years of age, as on 1st July 2022.

For LLB (Hons):

  • Qualification: Candidates must be Bachelor’s degree holder from any recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: He/ she must have passed with 50% marks in the graduation level to be eligible.
  • Age Limit: Applicant should not be more than 30 years of age, as on 1st July 2022.

For MBA:

  • Qualification: Candidates must be bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline from any recognized board.
  • Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks (45% marks for ST/ SC) aggregate from any recognized university/ Institute.

BHU 2022 Exam Pattern

Through CUET:

For UET:

  • Mode: The UET exam will be organised through online mode.
  • Medium: The medium of question paper will be both English & Hindi.
  • Duration: Paper will be of 2 hours or 2½ hours for various courses.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will be consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • Total Questions: There will be total 150 questions in the question paper.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 450 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded on each correct response and 1 mark will get deducted on negative response.

For PET:

  • Mode of Paper: The examination will be conducted through online mode.
  • Time Duration: Total 2 hours will be allotted for solving the question paper.
  • Sections: The question paper will be consist of total two sections as paper – A & B.
  • Questions: The question paper will be consist of 120 MCQs
  • Total Marks: There will be total 360 marks in the examination.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

BHU 2022 Syllabus

Students appearing for the CUET 2022 exam must check:

In Section IA & IB – Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative [Literary Aptitude & Vocabulary]

Candidates must prepare for NCERT 12th syllabus for section II.

In Section III- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/stat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

The syllabus for both UET and PET examination will be different as per the requirement of subjects. The syllabus for UET will consist of topics from the 11th and 12th academic classes, whereas the syllabus for PET will be from the relevant UG courses.
