SKBU Admission 2022: The last date of SKBU Admission for sessions 2022-23 is 30 July 2022. Sidho Kanho Birsha University is a state university located in Purulia, West Bengal, established in the year 2010. It has all crucial subjects with a great learning pattern. It has gained the trust that is helping the university in increasing the number of enrollments each year.
This university provides pure merit-based admissions to all offered courses; however, the university sometimes conducts an entrance exam. This entrance exam is followed by an interview round. Students who secure a good score in UGC NET, SET or GATE examination will be given a seat first.
- Sidho Kanho Birsha University provides a variety of postgraduate and research degree programs, including a B.Ed., an M.A., and a PhD Applications are accepted online via the University’s official website.
- Students must pass an admission exam and a personal interview for the Research program.
- Students with a valid GATE, SET, or UGC NET score are not required to take the entrance examination. These students must appear only during the University’s interview round.
- Reserved categories, including SC / ST / Physically, Challenged candidates, also receive reductions in the minimum required qualifying marks.
- The B.Ed requires a minimum of 50% in any undergraduate stream from a recognized university, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories.
- A master’s degree in mathematics, social science, science, or language, or an engineering degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in science and mathematics.
- The merit list is generated after an in-depth review of the UG marks.
- An entrance exam may be held for some PG courses based on the number of applicants, the number of seats available, and the University’s choice.
- After the merit list is published, selected students will be contacted for the counselling procedure.

SKBU Admission 2022
Sidho Kanho Birsha University has set different eligibility criteria for each program. For admission in UG courses, students must have 10+2 with a minimum of 50% merit scored from a well known educational board. A bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects is required for admission to PG courses. The degree must be from any UGC recognised university.
SKBU UG Admission
SKBU’s undergraduate admission window will open in the month of June. Online registration will open in the second week of June 2022 and close in the mid of July 2022. Among the courses available are BSc chemistry/physics, BA philosophy/ Geography/ Economics, BCom Hons, BSc Hons, and BA Hons. Students can use their previous qualifying marks to gain admission to the SKBU UG programme. Students must meet the subject requirements to be admitted, and any student who achieves less than 40% of the required marks will not be admitted. Some courses with their eligibility requirements are mentioned below:
- BSc + MSc: An integrated course of BSc and MSc is offered at SKBU. The university offers admissions based on a previous 10+2 certificate with at least a 65% aggregate score. The education must be from any well-known board of education in India.
- BA: A Bachelor of Arts program in numerous specializations is taught in this university to students who have previously secured Arts or any other qualification at 10+2 level with a 50% score.
Sidho Kanho Birsha University PG Admission
- MSc: Students can pursue an MSc degree at SKBU after clearing a BSc degree from a recognized or well-known college or university. Master of Science is a PG level degree programme that takes 2 years to complete.
- MBA: Those willing to build a career in business administration are welcome to apply for the MBA course at SKBU. The students must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream to apply for admission to this course.

- Sidho Kanho Birsha University offers MA programs in a variety of specializations. Through its departments, it offers Master of Arts courses in subjects such as Bengal, Economics, Education, English, History, and more.
- The students who want to enrol in this program at SKBU must have a bachelor’s degree in any field. Students must obtain their degrees from an institution recognized by the UGC. The SKBU application form is posted online on the university website. The enrollment form will be uploaded in July. The enrollment form can be filled out online on the website. The university posts different forms for different courses.
Please fill out the enrollment form online with the correct details. The application form must be submitted online, and there is no need to send it by registered post or speed post or deliver it in person. Applicants must keep the printouts of the enrollment form and challan for future office use.
