Devon Conway Biography: Conway is both an aggressive left-handed batsman who enjoyed batting at the top of the order in limited-overs cricket and a competent wicket-keeper. Born and brought up in South Africa, Conway made a transfer to New Zealand in 2017. With close to 100 First-class games and 70 List A games under his belt, Conway was already a household name in South Africa’s domestic circuit, and he hoped that the experience he acquired there would assist him in his new country. Conway began playing domestic cricket in South Africa. He was included in the Gauteng squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup in August 2015.He participated in all three Gauteng matches, scoring 53 runs.In August of 2017, at age 26, he relocated to New Zealand to pursue a career in cricket.

International Career
He was named to the New Zealand A cricket team for practice matches against the touring West Indies team in November 2020. He was included in New Zealand’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series against the West Indies later that same month.
On November 27, 2020, he made his T20I debut for New Zealand against the West Indies. Conway was added to New Zealand’s Test squad in December 2020, replacing BJ Watling, who incurred a hamstring injury.
Conway was included in New Zealand’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against Bangladesh in March 2021.[40]On March 20, 2021, he made his ODI debut for New Zealand against Bangladesh. Conway achieved his first century in one-day international cricket on 26 March 2021, in the third match of the series against Bangladesh.
He was named to New Zealand’s Test squad in April 2021 for their series against England and for the final of the 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship. Conway made his Test debut for New Zealand against England on 2 June 2021.
Conway became the 12th New Zealand batsman to make a century on his Test debut, and the first visiting batsman to score a century at Lord’s since Sourav Ganguly.
Conway’s total of 200 was the highest by an English debutant male cricketer in a Test match. Conway also became the oldest batsman to make a double century on his Test debut at the age of 29 years and 329 days.
