Ragini Dwivedi Biography: Ragini Dwivedi (born May 24, 1990) is an Indian actress and model who predominantly appears in Kannada films.
She made her film debut with 2009’s Veera Madakari. She established herself as one of the most prominent actresses in Kannada cinema until 2019 by starring in the successful Kannada-language films Kempe Gowda (2011), Shiva (2012), Bangari (2013), and Ragini IPS (2014).

Early years
Dwivedi was born in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh on 24 May 1990 and raised there. However, her ancestry is from Rewari, Haryana. Her father, Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, was a Colonel in the Indian Army; her mother, Rohini, was a housewife. In Rewari, her paternal grandfather, Pyare Lal Dwivedi, was a railway officer.
In 2008, fashion designer Prasad Bidapa discovered her and introduced her to modelling. She was a model for Lakme Fashion Week, Sri Lanka Fashion Week, and for Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, and Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She competed in the Femina Miss India competition conducted in Hyderabad in December 2008, where she was named first runner-up. As a result, she was granted direct entry to the 2009 Pantaloons Femina Miss India competition in Mumbai, where she was named Richfeel Miss Beautiful Hair.

Ragini Dwivedi Career
2009 marked Dwivedi’s acting debut in the Kannada film Veera Madakari. She was selected opposite Sudeep in this action-comedy adaptation of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu. The film was the year’s greatest commercial success. In the same year, she had a small role in the film Gokula. In 2010, she appeared in five films, including her Malayalam début in Kandhahar.
Dwivedi’s big break came in 2011 with the action film Kempegowda, co-starring Sudeep. She was nominated for the South Filmfare Award for leading female actress. In the same year, she appeared in comedies like Kalla Malla Sulla and Kaanchaana. Thuppa Beku Thuppa in Kalla Malla Sulla was shot on her and became one of the year’s greatest hits.
The first film released by Dwivedi in 2014 was a bilingual film titled Nimirndhu Nil in Tamil and Janda Pai Kapiraju in Telugu, her first Telugu film. Ragini IPS, her second film of the year, was released after a lengthy delay. Cast as a police officer, Ragini, the film signalled her departure from the glamorous roles for which she was known. However, the film opened to divided reviews from critics. However, it garnered her a second nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Namaste Madam, a remake of the 2002 Telugu film Missamma, was her next film. Critics praised her performance as Radhika, the chairperson of a multinational corporation portraying a seductress. In her first release of 2015, Shivam, she played a glamorous femme fatale alongside Upendra in a parallel protagonist role.
As of April 2016, Dwivedi has wrapped production. Ranachandi is currently filming with the Naane Next CM. She is also filming the multilingual film Amma by Faisal Saif. In order to prepare for her role in Naane Next CM, she lost 15 kilogrammes over the course of three months.
Personal Life
Since 2011, Dwivedi has promoted Karnataka Milk Federation’s Nandini Milk. Dwivedi is the second Indian actress to have a fan club named after her, after Khushbu. She stated, “There are already numerous fan profiles in my name on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. I will also interact with my followers on that platform. But these registered and official fan clubs will allow me to communicate directly with my followers.
In 2015, Dwivedi was named the Times Asia Wedding Fair’s brand ambassador. She was honoured and conferred the Most Promising Face of Indian Cinema at the India Leadership Conclave in Mumbai the same year.
