The Bihar School Examination Board has made the decision to mark Medha Diwas on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rajendra Prasad, who served as the first President of India (merit day). According to the officials, Deepak Kumar Singh, who is the additional chief secretary of the education department, and Anand Kishore, who is the chairman of the Bihar School Examination Committee, will present awards to the students who scored the highest on the Intermediate and Matric Annual Examination, 2022.

Students who performed very well on the matriculation yearly examination 2022 will be awarded a cash prize of one lakh rupees (1 000 000 INR), seventy five thousand rupees (75 000 INR), and fifty thousand rupees (50 000 INR) accordingly. In addition to this, each of them will be given a laptop and a Kindle-Book Reader notepad. Students who took the Bihar matriculation exam in 2022 and earned a place in the fourth through tenth positions would be presented with a medal, laptop computer, and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
