At the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, the accused serves as the head of the division of agriculture extension and communication (SKUAST).
The students asked that the accused be punished in a severe manner. According to the official, the situation has also been reported to the police, who have begun investigating the matter. The registrar of the institution stated in an order that the accused was immediately placed on administrative leave with the impact of the suspension. The instruction stated that he had to maintain his connection with the KVK in Pombai and Kulgam.
