Elections for the Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) will take place on September 27, 2023. Dr. A K Bhagi, the current leader, is running for president once more.
Throughout the past five years, the present DUTA leadership has had to deal with a number of difficulties, including ad-hocism at Delhi University.
Dr. Bhagi has received praise for using agitation and discussions to resolve the problem of regularizing ad-hoc teachers.
Nowadays, 10,000 unit promotions and the regularization of more than 2,800 instructors at DU departments and colleges can be attributed to the National Democratic Teachers’ Front (NDTF)-led DUTA.
The Old Pension System (OPS) and the full previous service count are the top priorities on the NDTF-led DUTA’s future agenda, despite several other difficulties.
