
On the first day of Agniveer recruitment in Muzaffarnagar, UP, 8300 youths of Gautam Budh Nagar ran with full enthusiasm. Recruit Colonel Somesh Jaswal said that after measuring the length on Tuesday morning, the race was completed from around 5 am to 11.30 am. The candidates showed full strength to complete the 1600 meter race in five minutes and 30 seconds. In this, the successful candidates were stopped for further processing, the rest returned to their homes. The youth race was completed by the Director ARO Meerut along with his team. According to the army officers, the rally turned out to be more crowded than expected.
11300 candidates were called on the first day of Agniveer Army recruitment of 13 districts of three divisions, on Tuesday, registered youth of Gautam Budh Nagar three tehsils of Gautambu Nagar, Dadri and Jewar participated. Around 11300 candidates were called. With the initiative of Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan, for the first time, arrangements for lodging and catering were made at Vedanta Banquet Hall for the youth coming in army recruitment.
After taking rest, the youths marched towards the recruitment site from around 9 o’clock in the night. For this, a rally of candidates was seen on the streets at night. The queues of the candidates had started from around 10 o’clock in the night at the venue of the recruitment venue.
300 candidates ran together
In recruitment, three hundred candidates were run together, when the race of one group was over, then the other group was run. In this sequence, the recruitment process started till 11.30 pm. The youth were subjected to physical fitness test (PFT) and physical measurement test (PMT) as per military standards. The talent of the youth for PFT was assessed by the army officers through long jump, zigzag and push up. Only after fulfilling this he was declared fit for the next stage.
