IQAC AMU Organises Webinar: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a webinar titled “Startups, Incubators, and Entrepreneurship: Translational Research from Lab to Market,” which attracted over 800 registered attendees.
Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, vice chancellor of AMU, praised such programmes for educating students and faculty members about a topic of great importance.
Professor Asad U. Khan, Director of IQAC, welcomed the speakers and attendees and outlined the significance of entrepreneurship and businesses.

Prof. Khan stated that startups generate employment and foster innovation in the nation while describing his own experience with a startup and the BIG-BIRAC grant he initiated at IIT Kanpur.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Saurabh Saran, Principal Investigator of the Technology Business Incubator at IIIM, Jammu, discussed the concept of entrepreneurs and their underlying principles.
Offering his services to train AMU students in Startups and business ventures, he stated: Road show competitions as awareness campaigns could be held at AMU, and free incubators could be provided to the winners.
Dr. Ankush Verma, Coordinator of the Technology Business Incubator, discussed the establishment of incubators at IIIM, Jammu, and the development of other businesses.
He discussed several success stories, the development of incubates, and the commercialization of incubating concepts. He also conducted the question-and-answer period.
Anwar Shahzad, professor, proposed a vote of gratitude.
