Engineering aspirants have been requesting for over a month that the National Testing Agency (NTA) postpone the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023) session 1 and remove the 75% eligibility criteria.
Let us remind you that the NTA announced the JEE Main 2023 exam dates on December 15, 2022, shortly after which class 12th board students began demanding that the exam be postponed. Students are hoping that the first session of the JEE Main exam will be held in April. On social media, students are still using the hashtag #JEEMain2023 in April.
Students claim that the session 1 exams, which begin on January 24, come just a week before some boards’ important Class 12 exams. JEE Main 2023, according to the candidates, will also conflict with the board practical exams.
A petition was previously filed in this regard before the Bombay High Court, but the court refused to postpone the engineering entrance exam.
Aside from that, students claim that Assam Board practicals begin on January 25 and Telangana Board practicals begin on January 20. All of these exams will be held between JEE Main, which will be held from January 24 to February 1.
