Techfest (ADVIK) 2023 was held for one day at the Central University of Haryana (CUH) in Mahendergarh on Monday. Mr. Jaspal Singh, an eminent national award-winning scientist and educator, opened the event. On this occasion, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, and Prof. Sunil Kumar, the Registrar, were present. The Vice Chancellor of the University stated on the occasion that technological advancement and awareness of the ongoing changes in this field are required to adapt to the modern world.
Advik 2023, held in the University’s sports complex, began with the University Kulgeet. Prof. Phool Singh, dean of the School of Engineering and Technology and event coordinator, then provided a welcome address in which he described the event’s structure. He stated that this programme is entirely organised by students under the supervision of teachers. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, stated that this festival, organised with the purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding of the changes taking place in the field of technological development and technology, is a remarkable beginning in and of itself. He stated that technology is currently utilised in education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, as well as in dialogue and ideological discourse among the general populace. Today, the effects of artificial intelligence are readily apparent. Such events are extremely beneficial for comprehending these changes in depth and meeting their needs accordingly. The Vice-Chancellor described this beginning as significant and predicted that it would become a notable occurrence in the future.
The chief guest, Mr. Jaspal Singh, who attended the event, stated that this event at the university level demonstrates how students are preparing for the future with their current mindset. According to him, the meaning of the name Advik for this event is singular. Students must also think creatively and attempt to implement that creativity. Jaspal Singh instructed his students to work tirelessly to make their dreams a reality, stating that thinking is only successful when combined with hard work. Prof. Phool Singh, the programme coordinator, stated that approximately twenty-five types of activities were planned for this one-day event. This was highlighted by technical debate, discussion on entrepreneurship, a workshop, numerous competitions, and a fun zone. This event included participants from various educational institutions throughout Haryana, not just the University. In addition to teachers, students, and research scholars, Professors Vikas Garg and Ajay Bansal from the School of Engineering and Technology were present at the program’s inauguration.
