According to the notice, the Holi holiday has been proclaimed on March 7 and 8 in the council’s list of holidays. The Director of Education (Basic), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has approved a holiday for March 9 in recognised basic schools and schools administered by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council.
A few days ago, teachers’ representatives in Lucknow urged the DM to proclaim a holiday in primary schools on March 9, the day after Holi. In addition to Vinay Singh, the province president of the Primary Teacher Trained Graduate Association, District President leader Lalli Singh, Treasurer Nisha Singh, and District Minister Diwakar Shukla had written to the DM, AD Basic, and BSA. According to teacher leader Vinay Singh, the Basic Teachers Department has a Holi vacation on March 7 and 8. According to the leaders, many instructors come from districts other than Lucknow.
