According to the notice, the Holi holiday has been proclaimed on March 7 and 8 in the council’s list of holidays. The Director of Education (Basic), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has approved a holiday for March 9 in recognised basic schools and schools administered by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council.
A few days ago, teachers’ representatives in Lucknow urged the DM to proclaim a holiday in primary schools on March 9, the day after Holi. According to teacher leader Vinay Singh, the Basic Teachers Department has a Holi vacation on March 7 and 8. According to the leaders, many instructors come from districts other than Lucknow.
