UPSSSC PET 2022: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has made changes in the age related eligibility rules for Preliminary Eligibility Test 2022 (PET 2022). Earlier the commission had said that candidates who were born not earlier than July 1, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2004, can apply for this recruitment. But the commission has amended these dates. The commission has said that instead of July 1, 1982, it should be read as July 2, 1982. That is, now only those candidates can apply in this recruitment, who were born not before 2 July 1982 and not after 1 July 2004. Other rules of educational qualification and age limit are same as before.
Let us tell you that the minimum educational qualification for applying in this recruitment has been fixed as 10th pass. And the maximum age limit is 40 years. Candidates who have completed minimum 18 years of age as on 01 July 2022 and not more than 40 years of age will be eligible for Preliminary Qualifying Examination 2022.
UPSSSC PET 2022: Highlights of UPSSSC PET
The last date for application is 27 July 2022. Correction in the application form can be done till August 3. Through this recruitment exam, thousands of Group C level posts lying vacant in various departments of the Government of Uttar Pradesh will be filled. Firstly there will be Preliminary Qualifying Test (PET) and after that the Commission will take the application by issuing advertisement regarding the recruitments. On the basis of PET score, candidates will be called for Main Examination/Skill Test/Physical Efficiency Test in different recruitments. Let us tell you that the score of PET is valid for one year.
PET exam is conducted once in a year. This is the second PET. Last year in 2021 PET was conducted for the first time. It has been said in the notification that the schedule of PET will be released separately on the website later. But according to the UPSSSC Recruitment Exam Calendar 2022 released a few days ago, the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2022 (PET 2022) will be conducted on 18 September 2022. Last year around 26 lakh candidates had applied for UPSSSC PET.
In this, it will be necessary to have knowledge of English for recruitment to the posts of Group C.
The qualifying examination will be of 100 marks and two hours. There is a system of negative marking in it. Fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Main Examination, Skill Test or Physical Test will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates on the basis of PET score as per the specific requirements of various departments and the provisions of the Service Rules.
