The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the class 12 results for the academic year 2022-23 on Friday, with an 87.33% pass rate. The pass rate is significantly higher than the 83.40 percent of 2019 during the pre-Covid period. Last year’s pass rate was 92.71%, which indicates a decline in this year’s aggregate pass rate.
There is no merit list for this year’s results, but 1.36 percent of pupils scored 95% or higher, and 6.80 percent scored 90% or higher. Trivandrum has the greatest pass rate among the 16 regions, at 99.91%, while Prayagraj has the lowest pass rate, at 78%.
With a passing rate of 90.68 percent, girls have once again outperformed males in class 12 CBSE results. However, the pass rate for females has decreased since last year, when 94.54% of girls passed. In contrast, 84.67% of males passed their class 12 exams this year, a lower pass rate than last year’s 91.25%.
On Twitter, Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the pupils and encouraged those who fell short of expectations not to give up. He stated, “A single test cannot determine a person’s aptitude. Continue to work diligently and pursue your dreams. Those who never give up will attain success. He also emphasised the performance of female pupils, stating, “More reasons for us as a society to remove all barriers to girls’ education.”
The official website, DigiLocker, SMS, and IVRS are among the channels through which students can access their grades. Those who are unhappy with their results may also request a reevaluation or substantiation of their marks.
