Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams on May 14. While 98.94% of students passed the Class 10 examinations, only 96.93% passed the Class 12 examinations.
The CISCE website, or http://results.cisce.org, is where students can view their scores.
The Class 10 (ICSE) examination was administered in 63 written subjects, 21 of which were Indian, 14 foreign, and two classical languages, according to CISCE secretary Gerry Arathoon.
“The Class 12 (ISC) examination was conducted in 47 written subjects of which 12 were Indian languages and three were foreign languages and one classical language,” he said.
Girls outperformed boys in both examinations, with nine pupils tied for first place in Class 10 and five tied for first place in Class 12.
In Grade 10, nine students tied for first place with 99.80 percent. They are Rushil Kumar, Annanya Karthik, Shreya Upadhyay, Advay Sardesai, Yash Manish Bhasein, Tanay Sushil Shah, Hiya Sanghavi, Avishi Singh and Sambit Mukhopadhyay.
In Grade 12, five students tied for first place with a grade point average of 99.75%. They are Riya Aggarwal, Ipshita Bhattacharya, Mohd Aryaan Tariq, Subham Kumar Agarwal and Manya Gupta.
Class 10 ICSE examinations began on February 27, 2023, and concluded on March 29, 2023. The Class 12 or ISC examinations commenced on February 13, and concluded on March 31.
This year, approximately 2.5 million pupils took the Class 10 CISCE examination.
