
WBJEE 2020 result declared update: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the WBJEE 2020 result on Friday, August 7.
The board released the result on its official website after conducting a press conference.

First rank holder:
Souradeep Das from Uttar Dinajpur has secured the first rank.
Second rank holder:
Subham Ghosh from Paschim Burdwan has secured the second third rank.
Third rank holder:
Sreemanti Dey from Kolkata has secured the third rank.
WBJEE 2020 result: Counselling details
According to the board, the entire counselling process will be held online this year in September.
Candidates should note that the counselling process is divided into various steps which include registration, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting to the colleges.
Candidates who have been allotted a rank will proceed for the counselling session. The eligibility for participating in the counselling is that the candidate should achieve a rank.
This year, a total of 51 per cent students from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has cracked the state JEE. The percentage of successful candidates from other boards are, CBSE- 31%, ISC- 3%, other boards- 15%. However, a total of 71 per cent students from state became successful in state JEE. Apart from the state students, 29 per cent from other state cracked state engineering entrance exam this year.
Candidates should keep in mind that around 2,053 seats are vacant in total 10 government run engineering colleges, while, admission process will be conducted for around 28,493 seats in 86 private engineering colleges.
The counselling process for the WBJEE will begin next week, the dates will be announced soon.
