National Authenticity Day is annually observed on August 16. Consequently, personal authenticity is how a person acts and evolves in response to the influence of the external environment. Among artists, authenticity refers to a work of art that reflects the artist’s values. In psychology, an authentic person is one who leads his life in accordance with his true Self and personal values, and not in accordance with the external requirements of society, such as social conventions, kinship, and duty.

National Authenticity Day celebrates the beauty and strength of authenticity. A true definition that goes far beyond simply “being yourself” is a day in which you fully disclose your authenticity, connect with others as humanely as possible, celebrate the leadership that inspires you, and choose to do things your way.
