UP Police Constable exam result: Results of constable recruitment exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board can be declared on 2 March 2020 i.e. today. This examination was conducted for direct recruitment to 49568 constable posts in Police and PAC.
The written examination was conducted on 27-28 January 2019 for recruitment to these posts of constables. The result of this was released on November 2019. The merit list was prepared keeping in view the total number of posts of the candidates who qualified in the written examination. In this list, 123921 candidates were elected more than two and a half times the number of posts. These selected candidates then had to go through several parameters. During this time, their educational qualifications, records were examined and these candidates were also tested under physical criteria.
The advertisement for UP police constable recruitment was released in October 2018.
The list of final successful candidates will be announced based on merit. The recruitment board will now send the list of successful candidates to the police headquarters.
The training of the candidates is likely to begin from August 2020 at existing training centers at district levels.
Sujan Vir Singh Director General Training said that the selected candidates will be sent for training as per the existing vacancies at training centres. “The duration of constabulary is six months and it is done at training centers in police lines at the district level,” Singh said.
After the result of the written examination was released, the records were examined and physical efficiency test was conducted. Now the final successful candidates have to be announced on the basis of merit. After this, the board will send the list of successful candidates to the police headquarters.
According to the training directorate, training of the soldiers of the previous recruitment is going on in the training centers of the state. Due to high numbers, these candidates have also been sent to training institutes of other states. As of now, until December 2021, there is no place in the training centers of the state. The state’s training centers are in Moradabad, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Unnao, Meerut, Mirzapur, Jalaun and Sultanpur. Apart from this, there are also training centers in 31 districts of the state.
Training Directorate of Investigation of Head Constables Training The Directorate has also made arrangements for training of investigation to 40 thousand head constables of the state. This is being done so that they can investigate criminal cases in the future. In view of the time taken in the investigation of criminal cases, the Police Headquarters is currently preparing to give the Head Constable a right of investigation. Till now the cases are investigated only by police officers of the rank of Sub Inspector or above. Police Headquarters is now in the process of investigating the crimes with lesser punishment (light sections of IPC) to the Head Constable so that the trial of the cases can be resolved quickly. Realizing this intention of the department, the training directorate has also added a text of deliberation to the training of policemen who will be promoted to the post of head constable.
