How Can I Unlink Rocket League Platforms From My Epic Games Account?
For the following reasons, we strongly advise against removing your platform from your Epic Games Account:
- Your Primary Account is where your game progress is kept. Other linked accounts won’t be able to access this Primary Account if you disconnect it.
- Once you disconnect, you cannot use the same Epic Games Account to connect to another platform of the same kind.
For instance, you cannot link another Xbox account to the same Epic Games account if you disconnect your current Xbox account. - You will immediately establish a new Epic Games Account if you attempt to log in to your existing account using a disconnected platform. There won’t be any game progression on this new account.
Introduce Rocket League to the public
Choosing the Sign-in button will allow you to access your Epic Games Account.
If you don’t already have one, click the Create button to get one without requiring a password, email address, or name.
- Visit epicgames.com/activate and input the given code there.
- If using Steam, go to the Epic Games Account Portal to link to an Epic Games Account.
- You will be prompted to select a Primary Platform after logging in. For all of your linked platforms, your primary platform will be your source of advancement (Rocket Pass Progress, Competitive Rank, XP Level). Make sure to select the platform with the highest Competitive Rank and the greatest progress you’ve made in Rocket Pass.
- Balances associated with credits and Esports tokens are exclusive to each platform and cannot be moved. You will be able to play on any other linked platforms using your Competitive Rank, Rocket Pass progress, and XP Level once you have chosen your Primary Platform.
If the platform you are on is your primary platform, tick the box.

On our account connection page, you will be able to link other platforms to your Epic Games Account. Using the login credentials for your Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo accounts, connect your platforms and exchange progress.
From the linked page, you may also select one of them to be your primary platform. You won’t have to link platforms to your Epic Games Account once more in order to play Rocket League.
Don’t worry if you make a mistake or decide not to use the platform you had originally intended! You will have the option to delink from your platform and designate an alternate one as your main.
