Significance of Kalki Jayanti
People fast on this day in order to have no sorrows and a peaceful and painless demise. Kalki is regarded as one of the most ferocious and aggressive manifestations of Lord Vishnu, representing the eradication of evil and the rebirth of humanity. On this day, devotees worship and fast in order to attain salvation, as they believe that the end of the world is imminent and that now is the time to seek forgiveness for their transgressions. Kalki represents the eight divine qualities of Lord Vishnu in order to eradicate evil and create a better world. This is because Kalyug is considered to be the “Age of Darkness,” in which materialistic and selfish individuals abandon their religions and beliefs. It is also known as the Age of Decline because the world enters a period of moral decline.
Kalki Jayanti Rituals
On the auspicious day of Kalki Jayanti, devotees observe a complete fast. To obtain the favour of Lord Vishnu on this auspicious day, there are a number of additional rituals that must be performed.
To obtain the bounties of Lord Vishnu, devotees recite mantras such as the Narayan Mantra, the Vishnu Sahasranama, and other mantras 108 times, as 108 represents the totality of existence.
The devotees commence the fast with the recitation of the Beej Mantra, which is followed by the Puja.
The next portion of the ritual involves washing the idols of the deities with water and Panchamrit while chanting the names of Lord Vishnu.
On the day of Kalki Jayanti, it is required to offer sustenance to Brahmins as it is considered a sacred act.
This is why this festival is so significant to Hinduism and Hindu culture.

The Avatar Kalki of Lord Vishnu
According to Hindu scriptures, Kalki Avatar will be the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who will rid the world of evil and unrighteousness and restore the Satyug. According to Hinduism, there have been four distinct eras known as Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapara Yuga, and Kal Yuga. It is believed that Kal Yuga is the time of extinction, when humanity will perish. In the Satya Yuga, people lived the happiest and most tranquil lives because they were devoid of all forms of greed, hypocrisy, and negativity. Then, during the Treta Yuga, people began to develop avarice and negative impulses and desires for one another. Upon the arrival of the Dwapara Yuga, it was discovered that nearly half of humanity had already become corrupted and committed numerous wrongdoings, such as murder, conquest of kingdoms, and crossing all boundaries to get what they want. And now, in the Kal Yuga, people are mentally disturbed and dissatisfied due to a variety of issues. There are few humans in the Kal Yuga who are entirely devoid of all sins. It is evident that the people’s sins have reached their peak and that the end is nigh.
But the greatest concern is when Lord Kalki will return to earth and how people will be liberated from all types of problems and sins. In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna, who was yet another incarnation of Lord Vishnu, predicted that he would return to earth to end evil. In Hinduism, it is believed that Lord Vishnu will assume an inconceivable human form in order to defend morality and righteousness. He will appear as a dark-skinned human who was born into a south Indian brahmin family. Lord Kalki, according to Shrimad Bhagwat, will manifest in the home of Vishnu Yash.
Scholars of Hinduism believe that the four cycles Sat Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapara Yuga, and Kal Yuga function similarly to our monthly calendar. Kali Yuga, which will last for 432,000 years, is the current epoch in which we are living. Since the battle of Kurukshetra, 5000 years have passed, which means there are still 427,000 years until the conclusion of Kalyug and the arrival of Lord Kalki.
