Who Was Hashirama Senju? Naruto explains how most of the Hokage’s deaths happened. For example, Minato Namikazee and Hiruzen Sarutobi both died by using the Reaper Death Seal, and Tobirama Senju died to keep everyone from paying attention to him. Still, Hashirama Senju is a Hokage whose death is still a secret.
Nothing in either the book or the anime talks about how the First Hokage died, so no one knows how he died. Since there has been no official information, fan ideas about what might have caused the death have gone unanswered. Based on the information we have now, many ideas and conclusions have been made about Hashirama over the years.
Who Was Hashirama Senju in Naruto?
Hashirama Senju was in charge of the only Senju clan that was strong enough to fight the Uchiha. Along with his old foe Madara Uchiha, he helped to build the Hidden Leaf Village. His unique Wood Style Jutsu and his skill with Sage Jutsu were his most powerful tools.
He later became the village’s boss and best ninja, a job he called “Hokage.” He was the first person to hold this job. He’s mostly to blame for the way the ninja world works now, with villages and tasks based on rank. And even though he was kind, humble, and simple, he would kill anyone who threatened his town, clan, or himself.
Why does Naruto not tell how Hashirama died?
Because Hashirama was so powerful, it is very hard to figure out what exactly happened when he died. In his own time, he was the most powerful ninja ever, so people called him the “God of Shinobi.”
It wouldn’t be possible to beat his power until Naruto’s period, which happened a long time after he died. Before that, only Madara had come close, and Hashirama fired him too. Because he is so powerful, it makes you wonder what or who could bring him down.
Which of the Naruto theories about Hashirama’s death do you think is true?
Several things could happen if Hashirama died in battle, which is not likely. If he was stronger than this Raikage, it would have taken more than 10,000 shinobi to beat him. They could have defeated a sizable number of his opponents, like the Third Raikage.
He could have also been killed, but that doesn’t seem likely since Kakuzu isn’t supposed to be able to do that. It’s possible that Madara really hurt him in their last fight, which would have hurt him longer and cost him his life in the end. He might have made a sacrifice for someone else, which would be in line with who he is. No matter how strong you are, there are many ways to lose a fight.
A great many people believe Hashirama died naturally, either from being sick or old. That it was never shown on TV or in movies makes sense—such a dull death wouldn’t have any reason to be shown on film. It’s also comforting to think that a man who worked his whole life to promote peace was given a peaceful death.
But because of the Reanimation Jutsu, normal death is often not accepted. With this method, people who die seem to be brought back to the exact age and clothes they were wearing when they died. People think Hashirama died in battle because he came back looking pretty young and fully protected. Again, that’s hard to understand because he was so strong.
There might be another reason why Hashirama came back the way he did. Madara indeed died as an old man dressed in clothes, but he came back to life in the same way. If the right conditions are met, it’s possible that the person who uses Reanimation Jutsu can change how subjects come back. That makes sense because Kabuto brought back Madara, and Orochimaru brought back Hashirama. Hashirama is his heir and a scientist.
These two would likely try to change the Reanimation to bring Madara and Hashirama back to life at their best. That also explains why Hiruzen came back to life as an old man: no one had time to change his body, so he came back exactly the way he had died. As long as all of this is true, it makes sense that the real reason Hashirama died would stay a secret.
Some ideas say that Hashirama’s ability to fix things led to his tragic death. Madara said that he could regenerate and that he didn’t even need to make a hand signal to do it. But the same treatment could have led to cancerous growths or pushed Hashirama past his Hayflick limit, both of which would have shortened his life.
It’s also possible that Hashirama’s illness was what killed him. Like Itachi and Kimimaro, he may have gotten sick with something that killed him. Nobody is immune to sickness, not even the God of Shinobi.
No one may ever know the real reason why Hashirama died. That he could handle anything that could kill him is one way to put it. So that’s why it’s really hard to picture him dying.
