To advance to the quarterfinal stages in both the men’s and women’s team competitions, eight groups of five teams will compete in each group. The best of five singles matches determines each contest, with individual matches consisting of the best of five games.
In a single round-robin format, each group will pit its team against the four other teams comprising that group. The elimination phase begins once the round-robin concludes and advances the top three teams from each group.
Twenty-four teams advance and are granted a final opportunity to vie for the silverware. Eight of the highest-performing teams after the season will qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
In Group 1, China, Hungary, Spain, and Uzbekistan will compete, while in Group 3, Korea, Poland, Chile, and New Zealand will compete.
