Assam Agricultural University Admission 2022: Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the Northeastern region of India. The institution was started in 1969 by the Governor of Assam, and the university campus is in Barbetta, Jorhat in Assam. The university provides PG & UG admission in Agriculture, Home Science, Veterinary Science, Fisheries Science, Sericulture and Horticulture.     

  • Assam Agricultural University has launched a specialized MBA in agribusiness.
  • The UG courses offered by AAU take four years to complete.
  • The PG courses, including the MBA, take two years to complete.

The university offers a large selection of courses to eager students who are interested in gaining experience in their field. The undergraduate program usually lasts three years. AAU UG Admission

Applications are now open for AAU Undergraduate Admission in the departments of horticulture, sericulture, agriculture, community science, and veterinary science. Students at this university can study B.Sc. honours in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Horticulture, Entomology, Basic Science, Fruit Science, etc. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. A student must pass the HSC with an appropriate stream and earn the required marks to apply.

  • B.Sc: Bachelor of Science degree is offered in 5 specializations. These are Agriculture, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, and Fisheries Science. The student requires to pass the 12th with science stream from any known board of education.
  • BVSc: This is a specialized course in veterinary science offered at the UG level after getting an intermediate degree.

AAU PG Admission

Admissions to the Assam Agricultural University’s PG courses will begin soon. Students interested in applying to any of the master’s degrees offered by this university must apply online through the university’s website. Students can pursue MSc programmes in (Agriculture, Biotechnology, Nematology, Home Science, etc.), MBA, MFSc, and many more. Admission will be determined by the results of the university’s entrance exam, which requires a bachelor’s degree from an Indian university as a minimum requirement. 

  • M.Sc: Master of Science is offered in a total of 4 specializations. Admissions are given to students on merit after they have a BSc degree or equivalent in the relevant field of the course.
  • MFSc: Assam Agriculture University offers a master’s degree in Fisheries Science to those students who acquire a BFSc or any other relevant degree in order to pursue this course.
