On December 14, 1984, Mike Fuentes was born. Michael Christopher Fuentes is his real name, but people call him MikeyWhiskeyHands. He helped start the American rock band Pierce the Veil. Mike raps and plays the drums by himself, while his brother Vic sings and plays the guitar. The brothers learned a lot from their Mexican-American painter and jazz musician father. Even though the band was still called Before Today when “Celebration of an Ending” came out, they soon changed their name to Pierce the Veil. The group has put out four albums and is thought to be one of the best rock bands in the U.S.
Career
The drum player put out the EP “The Hearts of Lonely People” in 2008 with the band Supergroup Isles & Glaciers. The next album by Pierce the Veil came out in 2010 on Equal Vision Records. It was called “Selfish Machines.” It sold so many copies that the album went straight to the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The band got a record deal with Fearless Records in 2012, and their album “Collide with the Sky” came out that same year.
