Rozgar Mela 2023: Premier Narendra Modi distributed over 70,000 appointment letters to new recruits via video conferencing on Saturday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, “During the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, when the nation is on the path to development, it is a tremendous honour to be able to work for the government. The citizens of this country have decided to make India a developed nation.”

The Rozgar Mela was held in 44 cities across India. The newly recruited personnel will serve in departments of the Central Government, State Governments, and UTs that support this initiative.
“Today, every expert predicts that India will be among the world’s top three economies within a few years. This means employment opportunities and per capita income will increase,” the Prime Minister stated while addressing the new appointees.
The new appointees, selected from across the nation, will join the Government in various Ministries/Departments, such as the Department of School Education, Department of Higher Education, Department of Financial Services, Department of Revenue, Department of Posts, Department of Personnel & Training, Department of Water Resources, Central Public Sector Undertakings, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Home Affairs, and others.
The Rozgar Mela represents a significant step in fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s pledge to prioritise job creation.
Phase 1 of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ was inaugurated on October 22, 2022, signifying the beginning of the campaign to provide 10 million government jobs.
