Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Golf Course: Following a seven-under-par 64 in the first round of the Copperhead Course, Kevin Streelman leads the 2024 Valspar Championship by one stroke.
Streelman shot a bogey-free round at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course as he sought his first PGA Tour victory since 2007.

After Thursday’s first round, seven players tied for sixth place at 67, while Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele tied for 13th place at 68.
Brian Harman (70) and Jordan Spieth (69) share 48th place.
Jordan Spieth, Sam Burns, Keegan Bradley, Tony Finau, and Justin Thomas are also in the field. Spieth tied for third last year before winning, while Burns won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022 before finishing sixth in 2023.
Like Schauffele, Thomas is seeking his first victory since winning the PGA Championship in mid-2022 after missing the cut at The Players.
“I think this is a ball-striker’s course,” said Thomas, who has a T3 and two T10 finishes at the Valspar. “You have to be in good control of your golf ball. I feel like that’s something that’s helped me in the past, but it’s just a strength of my game, so that’s why I like it.
“In terms of the course, I don’t remember seeing the rough this long in the past, maybe ever.”
A special Innisbrook Golf Membership package is being offered by the Palm Harbor Club during the Valspar Championship.
Until the end of the tournament on Sunday evening, non-condominium owners on the site can purchase a full membership for $25,000, a $20,000 discount on the full fee of $45,000. Those with deep pockets and an eagerness to play on Florida PGA Tour courses can also pay $705 per month.
