AMU Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor condoles demise of Sushma Swaraj

Keeping in view the crisis, the Nation is facing due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor has appealed to all concerned to follow the guidelines as laid down by the Central and State Government and International organisations such as World Health Organisation (WHO).

He has also appealed to religious and spiritual leaders and NGOs to lead that way in educating the masses. Religious leaders should educate people on social distancing and should also make aware about other health measures including wearing masks in public places, hand washing and sanitization. Large religious gatherings shall not be organized at this crucial juncture.

Prof Tariq Mansoor also emphasised that at this juncture, it is important to maintain peace, amity, harmony and law and order.

The Vice Chancellor further appealed to all that they should cooperate with medical staff and not put the health system under unnecessary stress and challenges by acting in an irresponsible manner and they should provide full cooperation to public health authorities.

The Vice Chancellor further appealed to all religious organisations and other NGOs to form specific Groups/Task Forces to educate the masses.
