National Salesperson Day 2023: How many times, especially during the holidays, have you been in a department store and envied the person who had to straighten all those unkempt shelves? National Salesperson Day fills that need. Although customers should always be grateful for their assistance, on December 8th, make sure to go above and beyond to express your gratitude.
Since 2000, we have commemorated this occasion by expressing our gratitude to every salesperson we encounter and even sharing on social media.
Events for National Salesperson Day
I’d like to thank everyone.
Say “thank you” to every salesperson you encounter, whether you’re picking up a gift, stopping for coffee, or gassing up. They will be grateful for it.
Tell a tale that you love.
Use the hashtag #NationalSalespersonDay on social media to share your best tale of someone going above and beyond to assist. All people, not just salespeople, get a kick out of those heartwarming tales.
Give out gift cards.
Desire to surpass expectations? Do you have a specific favorite salesperson who is always helpful? Say “thank you” by giving him/her a $5 gift card to your preferred coffee shop.

4 Ways A Salesperson Can Assist You In Need
Being grateful benefits your physical well-being.
Those who are thankful tend to be more flexible and experience less discomfort.
Having gratitude improves your mental well-being.
It can lessen negative emotions like envy, regret, resentment, and frustration.
Being grateful makes you more empathetic.
While still being aware of other people’s feelings, grateful people are less inclined to seek retribution.
Gratitude even aids in our recovery from trauma.
PTSD episodes were less common in veterans who expressed gratitude.
Why this day is great
Everyone’s favorite time to give back is during the holidays.
Giving to charities increases during the holidays, but it costs nothing to say “thank you”. Remind yourself to express your gratitude, and help salespeople enjoy the hectic shopping season a little more.
Selling is a challenging job.
Uncertainty, pressure, long hours, and yes, thanklessness are all possible in sales positions. Saying “thank you!” can help ease at least one of those.
“The client is always correct.”
The maxim makes sense if you’re a customer, but what if you’re the supplier? Customers must commend salespeople for their unparalleled product knowledge.
